Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry

Life Out of the Box in Granada, Nicaragua

This is the inside of the lovely yellow church in the center of Nicaragua’s large political city, Granada. Nicaragua is known for their amazingly bright colored buildings on the outside, but did you know that most of the buildings are just as bright on the inside? This church is a beautiful example of how Nicaragua brings their bright personality into everything they do–even into the design of a conservative Catholic church. The tall geometric arches make the colors stand out even more and make for a breathtaking picture looking down the middle of the aisle.

Looking at those colors made me think of the same color scheme in the dining room at (the late) Chef Tell’s Grand Olde House restaurant on Grand Cayman Island. Soft and elegant colors (great food @ the restaurant)
